Papua Oud resin

During an agarwood hunting trip to Indonesia, I came across a unique product that caught my attention.  Oud resin is not readily available due to the laborious process of extracting it from agarwood and so any that appears on the market is snapped up pretty quickly by perfumistas and agarwood enthusiasts who want to experience something different than the routine wood and oil offerings. 

This oud resin can be used to great effect in perfume blends or used in a more traditional manner by placing a small piece on a heater to release its myriad collection of scent notes.  Gently heating the resin on an electric heater brings out a sweet Maroke oud scent profile combined with a Borneo floral signature.  If you haven’t tried an Oud resin before, now is your chance to do so at relatively little expense.
